I saw a few of the golf specific clubmaker rulers, which looked basically like a 48 inch straight edge with markings for standard/recommend club lengths. The Empire 4004 has markings for 48 inches in 1/16" increments as well as 1/8" increments. The 1/8" increments makes it very easy to mark and cut golf shafts, especially when you have to cut an additional 1/8" to account for the end of the golf grip. The Empire 4004 is less expensive than the golf-specific rulers. My 4004 arrived with some dings and markings from storage and shipment at desertcart, but it is still very straight.
