Review: The best case I've ever built in! - I've now built 4 PCs in the past 7 years or so, and this is by far the best case in which I've ever built. If you're considering this case, you're probably here because you've immediately noticed how stylish it is. It's just as pretty and sleek in real life as it is in photos, so if that's your primary concern, go ahead and make the purchase. However, what isn't readily apparent in photos is just how high quality the materials are. The sleek brushed aluminum panels are solid and pleasantly hefty, though not so heavy they weigh the case down unnecessarily. Further, they all slide into place and lock one another together in an impressive, intelligently designed way so that the case remains solid even before applying the thumbscrews to lock everything down. This is more of a big deal than it sounds—nearly every case in which I've built (even the expensive ones) feature some kind of annoying rattling, or a panel or fan screen that doesn't quite fit as snugly as you'd like. As the PC ages and the fans vibrate everything continuously over years of use, this tends to create rattles and light ambient noise that will annoy you more and more over years of usage. I'm now nearly 6 months into using this case, and I've got 9 fans in it (probably overkill, but let me live). I'm a heavy gamer, so those fans are often spinning at 100%, and this case has zero rattles whatsoever. Airflow is superb and it keeps components clean. I have used cases in the past which featured plastic windows and had poor airflow, this case has solid, heavy glass, and airflow is impeccable. It's also got superb layout for easy cable management and PSU mounting, and although it tucks the PSU behind the motherboard, I haven't noticed any heat issues from this location, as fresh air is amply supplied via properly located vents in the case. I've heard people say building in this case is somewhat difficult, but it's been by far the easiest case for me to build in out of others. Whether this is due to my growing skill at building multiple PCs, or because the case is better designed, is difficult for me to say. But I don't consider myself a master builder or anything like that (I build only for myself and for pleasure), so I'd lean towards the latter. I've gushed enough, so to summarize, I'll say that this case looks beautiful, it's impeccably designed, the materials it uses are superb, and it's easy to build in. It's also far cheaper than some of the other top cases on the market. Lian Li has made a fan of me. The only way I'll ever replace this case is if Lian Li releases a better model. You really can't go wrong with it, unless you need an optical drive. But who needs an optical drive in 2020?
Review: What a Case! - This is one impressive case! There is a ton of room in it and a lot of options for customization. Its also beautiful, my first white case and first glass panel or any full see through panel of any kind. The glass panel on the front gave me the perfect platform to build an infinity mirror that I have always wanted and it looks wonderful(if you like that kind of thing). I love that you can hide most of the wires, PSU and HDD/SSD behind the motherboard tray. This is the perfect case for any kind of water cooled build you might want and any kind of show build you might desire. That being said I do have to point some down sides that I came across in my build. As I said earlier this is a case for a show build so there is limited options for storage drives, I was able to squeeze 3-3.5" drives in the back but it was tight and I'm going to take one out soon. This case is primarily for showy SSDs and 2.5" drives. Second it is a heavy case with no place to hold onto except for slipping you hands under it. Maybe that was intentional so that it is fully supported at all times, the feet actually create a 3/4" space under it for you hands to slip under easily. Third, there is no native mounting support for a fan to exhaust out the back like cases have had for years, I was able to mount an old 92mm fan I had sitting around at an angle to the vent on the back but I'm not sure that was intended. Lastly I wasn't really happy with what I had to do to install my 1080ti Hybrid with a push/pull setup (see pic). Someday I hope to mod the full side panel with a Snowblind mod but that is in the future and could take me a while. Overall I am impressed with this case though I would probably advise you to look at the XL version that came out about the time I purchased this one. If you can get this for 100 or less then it should be a no brainer.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this case support an optical drive?**
A: Honestly, as out of date optical drives are now I switched to an enclosure a long time ago. $25 and you just plug into power and a USB. I also haven't used that in 7 years either...but its there if I need it.

**Q: Does this come with any fans?**
A: Neither the AIR nor the 011DX include ANY fans.
I got the air for my son's build and the 011 DX XL
for my extreme build.... No fans with either.

**Q: Can you put a 360mm radiator on the top?**
A: Yes you can. I have a 360mm radiator with three rgb fans in it on the top of my case and it fits no problem.

**Q: Is there a way to vertically mount the gpu and still have fans at the bottom of the case**
A: I was able to fit one fan under the case using cooler master's gpu mount (as long as you mount the bracket at the very top of the PCI slots leaving some room at the bottom). I am using a very large card (2070 Aorus Extreme from gigabyte), so depending on the size of your card, you can fit all 3 (also depending on where the front panel USB hub port is on your motherboard. If it's located at the bottom then you may not be able to fit more than 2 if your GPU is small enough. For me, having a large GPU + usb hub ports being at the bottom, I could only fit the 1 fan on the bottom towards the front of the case and that was it. You may be able to get away with very low profile fans from Noctua and fit all 3 regardless of gpu size and port location however.)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Overall ATX Case in the Market. Period.
*by P***S on March 19, 2020*

Gotta give props to Mr. Thermal Paste sniffler, our lovely German friend that worked with Lian Li for this case design. He and the company have achieved probably the pinnacle of what an ATX case can, and should be. Flexible, spacious, gorgeous, and with excellent build quality. Those are not usually traits you see all together: it's usually all glass and looks over utility, or utility without a care in the world for looks and style. This case blends everything nicely, with good airflow, plenty of watercooling choices, and all that while having ridiculous amounts of space in the back for cables and a glass front panel! I could go on and on about this case, but I will just say that I highly recommend this. I came from a Fractal Design R6, and I thought that case was the end all be all for ATX cases. I was wrong. The only caveat of this case is E-ATX compatibility: if you are like me, and stuffed such motherboard size on this case as well as a thick side radiator, you will pretty much lose the ability to use the grometed holes for routing cables. I worked around it, but just bear that in mind. This is meant for ATX builds, to E-ATX at your own risk.
