**Q: Exterior and interior dimensions of the Honeywell briefcase.**
A: According to Honeywell the dimensions are as follows: Outer Dimensions: 7.34"H x 19.9"W x 17"D Interior Dimensions: 3.8"H x 14.8"W x 12"D

**Q: It says 1 hour at 1700 degrees on this ad, yet on the Honeywell site it says 1550 degrees.  What does it say on the box and in the manual?**
A: I purchased a Honeywell 1108 which is the larger model.  The manual states the following:  Models 1101, 1102, 1103 & 1106: ...interior temperatures remain below 350F (177C) for 30 mins when outside temperature is up to 1550F (843C).  Models 1104 & 1108:  ...interior temperatures remain below 350F (177C) for 60 mins when outside temperature is up to 1700F (927C).   So there is a difference in protection based on which model you choose.

**Q: Can letter-size papers (8.5x11 inch) be placed flat inside chest?  Description does not show interior measurements.**
A: Dear Valued Customers, in the Honeywell 1103 1/2 Hour UL Fire Safe Chest, an 8.5"W x 11"H Letter & A4 Sized Documents will fit in the interior laying flat. There are two smaller sizes of the chest: 1) the Honeywell 1101 1/2 Hour UL Fire Safe Chest for folded documents, and the 1102 Waterproof 1/2 Hour UL Fire Safe Chest for folded documents if you don't need documents to lie flat.

**Q: Do you have to lock the box for it to be fire safe?**
A: Hi there, thanks for your question. You do not need to lock the safe for it to be protected from fire damage. It has a 30-minute UL fire protection rating for up to 1550°F.  The lock is for additional security. We hope this was helpful! -Kari
