Review: Great for Allergies - I have a lot of outdoor allergies that irritates my eyes, so I need to keep eye drops stocked. I often also get eye irritation from dog hair from my dog. I like the size of this package as it comes with two bottles, making it a great value for its price. I have traveled with these bottles and found that they do not leak and have no side effects for me. My wife who has very sensitive eyes finds these gentle and soothing even for her, so that’s a big win as well. I find it to be quite effective and helps reduce puffiness and irritation after about 20 minutes post use.
Review: ACTUALLY GREAT - Well honestly wasn't really expecting to review eyedrops, normally not able to be that impressed to go out of my way to so so. I have tried a few different brands over the years, none have just.... like 100% worked like this one. I have a cat, dog, and a blooming garden and am allergic to all 3. All seasons are allergy seasons. These drops stop me from wanting to claw out my eyes entirely and forget that it is even a problem. So far positive effects last long enough for my eye to settle, so at LEAST 6 hours. I also take cetrizine (Zyrtec generic) but it doesn't help with my eyes, this does. 10/10 very worth the money and will order again when I am out (probably soon).

**Q: How do you open this thing????? Why would thy make the cap so difficult to open**
A: I understand it is hard to peel the plastic off easily, but it is a good thing when it comes to eye drops.  Safety over convenience.

**Q: Alaway only lasts 2-3 hrs for me. Looking for a longer lasting alternative. How long does Opcon A last for you?**
A: I live in the grass seed capitol of the world and I am allergic to grass. It lasts about 4 hrs for me. I'm not shy about using it, though, during allergy season.

**Q: How does this compare to zatidor? i ask bc eye doctor rec'd zatidor specifically. are they the same formulation? thanks!**
A: Zatidor was a prescription only drop a few years ago.  It is the same as Alaway by B&L.  These drops are effective at just 2 drops per day.  Opcon-A, Vasocon-A and Naphcon-A are all really old type of allergy drops that you need to use up to 4 times a day for maximum effectiveness.  You must be careful with the vasoconstrictor aspect because once you stop using them, it is possible to have a "rebound" effect where you're eyes will turn twice as red.  This is why we also do not like to recommend drops like Visine.  For over-the-counter, Zaditor or Alaway are the best and I agree, adding artificial tears (Systane, Refresh Tears, Theratears, GenTeal, Blink, and several other NAME BRAND drops) can be useful.  Often red eyes are a combination of dry eyes and allergies.  Optometrist or ophthalmologists also have many prescription drops we can prescribe if the Alaway or Zaditor do no work.Kim Carr-Yeates, O.D.

I have a lot of outdoor allergies that irritates my eyes, so I need to keep eye drops stocked. I often also get eye irritation from dog hair from my dog. I like the size of this package as it comes with two bottles, making it a great value for its price. I have traveled with these bottles and found that they do not leak and have no side effects for me. My wife who has very sensitive eyes finds these gentle and soothing even for her, so that’s a big win as well. These helped my eyes so much during allergy season. My eyes were so itchy, and swollen. I had tried many different eye drops. I found these and found felt instant relief. I didn't feel any buring sensation. It didn't make my eyes dry or feel more irritated. They felt great for awhile. However, it didn't last as long as I expected it to. I did reapply sooner than I had hoped. Overall, this product did give me more relief than other brands and I will buy it again
