It works great, but you have to keep in mind a few things to make it work optimally - 1. coat it lightly with oil - I use 3 or 4 drops of cooking oil and smear it with a tiny piece of tissue paper 2. heat up the tawa really well before you place the dosa batter After washing, again apply a thin coat of oil, otherwise it will rust. I have ordered thrice one for me already and twice at my native palce. It is very heavy and sturdy tawa with nice iron gauge. Iron Tawa which you buy from local shops are not of good one as i have already bought, waste of money. Was looking for iron tawa from quite long time. Order this keeping my finger crossed and it was good one. Need to seasoned this tawa properly initially with onion and oil, then you can prepare nice chapatis on it. Better than non stick which i have already used more than 10 as non stick coat goes off. Also have used hard anoidised tawa for which base is aluminium, even it is pathetic to make chapatis, so madhu iron tawa is really good.
