It is also partially lined, which is good because it won't be see-thru. Be aware that it runs slightly snug in the waist. If at all in doubt, size up. It's also very, very long. I removed an entire tier from the bottom and it still hits my ankles. Fortunately, you don't have to do anything complicated to alter it. Cut where you need to remove length; optionally hem it but I don't think you have to. The ruffles have raw edges in the first place, so I didn't bother hemming. Wash in cold water on delicate cycle and hang to dry. This has the look of something that would shrink in the dryer as the fabric is quite thin.
