Review: Big Yamaha sound from a medium sized footprint - Absolutely love this speaker. The finish is very streamline and clean looking and the sound is terrific. Great lows, clean highs. I have two of these and can pair them to play the same source, or as left and right for even more stereo separation. I have them in separate rooms in an open floorplan and the sound is immersive. I really appreciate the synchronized output, as nothing is more annoying than a slight delay between speakers (ok, a long delay is more annoying, but I digress). The musiccast software is terrific and with my total of 4 compatible devices, I have the full house audio experience without running any wires. While not cheap, these rival similar priced speakers from other manufacturers. Setup was easy and the app allows for a lot of flexibility. I never use the limited buttons on the speaker except for initial setup. Super convenient that it's fully controlled via the app, which allows me to place the speaker high above the cabinets in my kitchen allowing me to enjoy the sound without it being in the way. Everyone that visits looks around for where the music is coming from. Overall a great purchase, I may buy more or try the smaller "20" in the future.
Review: Great sound, easy set up. - Unpacked the box, plugged it in and connected to my already existing Musiccast network in under 10 minutes. I bought 3 Musiccast speakers several years ago and was excited to get one of the newly released speakers, hoping for better sound quality. I got it. I am very impressed with the sound quality of this speaker. And it looks good in my living room. I saw other reviewers had trouble integrating the new generation speaker into their existing musiccast system, but I had no trouble at all. **Q: I’m not concerned about the power out put it’s going in my bedroom. I just want something that sounds good. Does this sound good?**
A: It is a pretty convenient unit when you use the music cast app.  It sounds good.  The bass and treble are adjustable.  It sounds a bit better turned up

**Q: If i buy two, can these be configured as wireless left an right front speakers with my rx-v685 receiver?**
A: Yes, it can be configured as wireless left and right front speakers with the RX-V685. Combining the two speakers will create immersive powerful stereo speakers. Awesome sounds

**Q: Does this work with Apple Music?**
A: If you have a receiver, it works through airplay or Bluetooth from your device but Apple music isn't native to Yamaha.

**Q: Does this have an aux input?**
A: Yes, it has a 3.5mm input jack, a digital optical input as well as the standard rca inputs

Absolutely love this speaker. The finish is very streamline and clean looking and the sound is terrific. Great lows, clean highs. I have two of these and can pair them to play the same source, or as left and right for even more stereo separation. I have them in separate rooms in an open floorplan and the sound is immersive. I really appreciate the synchronized output, as nothing is more annoying than a slight delay between speakers (ok, a long delay is more annoying, but I digress). I am very impressed with the sound quality of this speaker. And it looks good in my living room. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sounds great. Makes a good TV sound bar.

Great sound for a small box. This could be a home stereo as it can connect to Spotify by itself, with internet access and a Spotify account ($10.00/month) cheap. The smaller ones, WX-021, are great too and much smaller footprint and can be wall mounted. These bigger ones sound bigger so get these if shelf space isn't an issue. There is some audio latency to deal with that I don't have with the WX-021. That makes no sense to me but it happens. This model, WX-051, has an optical(and RCA) connection. The smaller one, WX-021, does not. I tried it on my LG TV and it works great. I have not detected any audio latency with it yet connected to the TV as I did connected thru a Yamaha receiver. That could be a big plus. That latency can spoil a sound system. Could use that as the master Musiccast and broadcast to other Musiccast speakers for stereo or surround sound. Using the TV as a Spotify source, I can play Spotify simultaneously throughout the house(and outside). The best is still the hard wired system with a receiver and center channel and subwoofer and better speakers, but this is a good option. The Musiccast console only runs on Android OS, won't work right on Windows or Chrome.
