## Description

M43 Heer Ski Cap made from a Field Grey wool. The M43 Field Cap was based upon the Bergmutze Ski Caps of Gebirgsjager, and became one of the most widely used pieces of headwear of WW2. They had a slightly longer visor than the Bergmutze, but did not have the leather sweatband of earlier hats, due to the necessary economisation of manufacture. These hats are true to the originals, and are made from an 80% wool material - a far higher wool content than other repros around. The 2-buttoned front can be undone, to allow the flaps to be let down and the hat to be turned in to a 'balaclava' like garment. High quality repros, true to the originals and made from a quality wool. Please Note: The visor on these caps is made from a cloth-covered pasteboard/heavy cardboard, as per the originals. They are therefore NOT machine washable.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Cap ....

Well made ,looks Authentic , Love the Style .......

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Value
*by E***. on February 25, 2025*

Bought these for a few friends of mine who appreciate antiquated apparel. Each loved the fit (after a few returns) and have consistently worn them throughout winter.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Hat
*by R***. on July 31, 2020*

I love this hat, all though I do find that the hat is a bit tight but that really my doing, also like most products from this retailer the button sowing is poorly done and I can find some play on the buttons on top of the hat by only using it for a small bit. But with that said I still love this hat and I recommended to people who love history and or just want a cool hat.
