I applied the product as directed and hours and hours later, my puppy was still scratching with live fleas still all over him. I had bathed him and dried him beforehand, as well. He also had a mega greasy spot on his back where I applied it. My older female did seem to have a lot of relief but I still saw lots of fleas.I treated the house with flea carpet powder as well as flea traps for a while and I wasn't getting any fleas, so the fleas were mainly on the pets so I knew treating them would rid us of our problems. I said forget it and I went to bed annoyed with the products failure. Woke up in the morning with the dog and flea combed him. He had not ONE live flea on him, all the fleas were dead and many had fallen off dead in his sleep. I AM THRILLED!!! It is over a week later, and still everyone is flea free and almost scratch free.You'll need to treat your house to ensure the product works as it should. Flea traps along with tons of vacuuming (flea collars placed in the bag will kill fleas) will ensure your house isn't a breeding ground for fleas. I'm from Atlanta, and it's destroyed our entire flea problem. I also got Fiproguard for the cats, and it did the trick, too! Just a slight warning, the normal Fiproguard didn't work well for the dogs, it only worked well for the cats, but the MAX worked really well for the dogs.It's winter here now, but the fleas are still running rampant so I'm going to stick with this, at least in winter. I'm not sure if it'll hold back the fleas come springtime, but we'll certainly see! This isn't CHEAP (Hartz, Sargeants, etc) but it isn't Advantix 2 expensive. Well worth it IMO. Also, BUY IT HERE!! You'll pay a lot more for it in the pet stores. I got the 6 application box for large dogs for about $25. ### ⭐⭐ Itchy dogs for the whole month *by S***A on Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2014* I know its much cheaper that front-line and has most of the same ingredients but this is the second time i gave this a chance. Im not happy with it. My dog is scratching and itching his skin throughout the whole month he has it on him. There has to be a ingredient in this that is not in frontline because he doesn't get itchy with frontline. Well every dog is different so maybe it will work for you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked better than expected, will buy again *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2015* Used it on my three large black labs that are outdoors in the woods here of far Northern California a LOT and they get ticks frequently and bring them inside where they sleep. I noticed it was its most effective after 24 hours. I washed my dogs a couple times a week and you'll see a flea here or there (they weren't infested) but you could always find one or so on their belly after a week from being bathed. After using this I have a hard time finding any fleas anymore. Gotta say it worked better than expected and I will be buying again.
