I recently had both of my daiths pierced bc doing so stimulates an acupuncture point which helps with migraines. However daiths take a ridiculously long time to heal and the discomfort is substantial- until I tried emu oil. I’ve had many issues with pain, irritation, and infection plus just general discomfort. The piercing sites always felt tight and they frequently throbbed, which I accepted bc it did decrease the frequency and severity of my migraines. However emu oil immediately cleared a lingering infection I was unable to treat on my left side as well as a very stubborn keloid (giant piercing bump). The tightness, sensitivity, and discomfort have all totally gone away on both sides. And this happened within the first hour of applying it! Now I apply it morning and night and my ears feel totally normal again, feels like there isn’t even a piercing there at all! I will never get another piercing without using this oil. I have also begun applying it to my eyebrows bc they are sparse and it is indicated for use on brows, so we will see what happens there since results can take a while.Edit: I am updating this review a few months later because I used it on my cat with amazing results! He fell off a cat tree and in trying to grab the tree on the way down, one of his toenails was ripped completely out of his foot. He was bleeding a lot, the wound was huge, gaping and horrific, and he was clearly in pain and wouldn’t stop licking it. After a week or so, I started flushing the wound with a saline wash and then applying the emu oil after the saline dried. In three days the swelling is about 90% gone and the broken skin is almost completely healed. He also doesn’t seem to be in pain anymore! I just love this stuff. I cannot remember a time when my face has looked this clear, free from acne, pimples, dry patches, and dark spots. I suffered a chemical burn across my forehead and near my eyes. After applying the emu oil consistently for 2 weeks at night, my redness, dryness, and hard skin is now totally free from any damage. Like many other purchasers posting reviews, the emu oil had a very pungent smell, so I was concerned about the product being rancid and the possibility of suffering any side effects from possible free radicals; however, I could not afford to throw the product away or defer its use due to my damaged skin and thank God I used it because I've had great success! I would advise other users to place the emu oil in the refrigerator overnight when not in use. The emu oil will harden, so take it out about 30-60 minutes before use for the oil to become liquid for you to use it. This product is worth the purchase and I will certainly purchase again. I have extremely dry and sensitive skin, and after washing my face, I apply rosehip seed oil (during the day and night). However, at night, I now apply a layer of emu oil on any areas that I feel are dry and to any small pimple that may try and pop up and by morning my skin is clear.
