I wanted to glance over the board and recognise patterns without trying to figure out which piece was which and without the pieces blending into the board too much. From that aspect, I would give the 4.5 stars because I like how the bishop, queen and king have opposite colours at the top and that the colours are distinct enough. What I didn't like about the pieces is that the queen could've looked a bit different to the king, although I love how each piece looks, every single one's style is adorable. The reason for 4 stars only though is because I can see the glue on each piece and that the pieces have no weight.
