Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal is a technologically advanced full-synthetic formulation designed to deliver excellent performance in most of the traditional stepped automatic transmissions and Continuously Variable Transmissions currently in use. It is blended with premium base oils and an additive package which utilizes Castrol Smooth Drive Technology. This is the first Castrol multivehicle ATF suitable for use in both step-shifting and continuously variable automatic transmissions. Transmax ATF/CVT Universal is suitable for use in vehicles manufactured in North & South America, Europe, and Asia.

Review: Perfect in the Merc 722.n Gearbox. - This stuff meets the Dexron II and III requirements my Mercedes-Porsche auto gearbox demands. Many more modern "works in anything" fluids are nothing but problems for 'vintage' euro GT cars. This one works perfectly. I'm very happy that this is still available. A few local stores stock it, but at a cost premium. Thank goodness Jeff B. had an old Mercedes, and keeps bottles of this for me in his warehouse/garage.

**Q: Can I use it in a 2000**
A: Honda s2000?  2000 model year Ferrari? 2000 individual mini cooper's? Perhaps the answer isn't in the answer. Perhaps the answer is in the question. As in, why would you touch your vehicle if you can't ask an appropriate question?

**Q: does this fluid replaces ATF-Z1?**
A: ATF-Z1 is Dex3 with a friction modifier. This will cover that spec. As the trans ages & wears you may be better served by using a higher viscosity fluid such as AMSOIL ATF. If you are doing a drain & refill, the ffirst one is about 44% new fluid replacement. The 3rd. one will take you to 85%. Think diloution rate vs. volume.

**Q: Can this work w/ toyota camry 1999 uses dexron iii? also, can i mix other brand dexron iii (not for hi mileage) w/ this castrol atf for high mileage?**
A: Yes and yes.  However, in my experience, Dexron VI (even in an old worn transmission) will dramatically improve shift quality even in transmissions rated for Dexron III or Toyota Type IV (which is rebranded Dexron IV).

This stuff meets the Dexron II and III requirements my Mercedes-Porsche auto gearbox demands. Many more modern "works in anything" fluids are nothing but problems for 'vintage' euro GT cars.
