We have been using this for our yellow Lab Toffee for years after she had the outside toe on her right front paw amputated. As a result her paw rolls outwards and she ends up walking on the remaining bone which used to get red raw and very sore. These boots, used with the Ruffwear socks as the insides of the boots can be rough, give just the right amount of cushioning with the rubber sole so Toff doesn't limp. Other boots we have tried are too big so she trips over them or they don't have the secure Velcro fastening and elasticated cuff so they don't stay in place. Due to his age, and the benign nature of the issue--corrective surgery is not an option. Because these boots have a nice rubberized sole, he is able to walk pain-free, keeps his paw dry & debris free.
