Another friend noticed it when I put it down when "sitting" for her dog (she has a Shih Tzu), and I was telling her the same thing. She also reports more drinking, but also the fact that her dog would drop certain foods onto the floor before eating, so now, they just go onto the plastic tray: much more hygienic and easy to clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this product and supplier. It is very big, probably too big for my 9 month old BSH cat but he will soon grow into it. It seems sturdy and my cat doesn't have any problems using it.
