It was quite a job to assemble but once we had put it together we were very pleased with it. It is strong and durable, and holds a lot of compostable waste. Useful guide to composting was included, which was a great help. My only small gripe is that the screws went rusty almost immediately once the composter was put outside, and I think a fiver more on the price would be well worth the supplier putting on better quality (ie non-rusting) screws. Its not a major problem though because we have rust treatment liquid in our shed which we will be getting out and painting the screw heads with! Overall, an excellent product which I am pleased we bought - way better than the 'static' non-tumbling composters that we already have. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong. Well made. Expensive *by J***9 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 March 2019* Be prepared for one or two hours of fiddly assembling. It comes as approximately 10 or 12 pieces of moulded plastic , a few metal tubes and at least 60 small nuts and a similar number of bolts. The quality of the parts is quite good/adequate for the purpose. However, the value of a few pieces of plastic and a few metal tubes is relatively little. These items could and should be available for half the price being charged or even less. I am only half way through making a first batch of compost so I am unable to confirm how long it takes or the quality of the final product. I hope to update this review later. I have awarded 4 stars in the expectation that it performs adequately. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Parasene compost tumbler *by B***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 October 2014* One day late in arriving, (thanks Parcelforce). The stand a pain to erect, would have been a lot easier if the legs had been marked to correspond with the instructions. Still having assembled the stand I then followed the instructions to complete the tumbler. I had to cut about a 1/2" off a plastic tube which fits over the axle in order to make the axle fit the stand. After this all went well.I have rejuvenated used compost in the tumbler and the have started to fill one side, (don't fill too far above the axle) if you do it makes it difficult to turn.At this time I cannot comment on the quality or speed of the compost as I am still waiting for it to rot down, but there is no smell or fly's, rodents can't get in but somehow the worms manage to (amazing things). My only criticism is that the nuts and bolts that hold the tumbler together soon show rust. For a few pounds more Parasene could have used stainless steel to avoid this downfall.Further to the above and after much use I have found that if the mix gets too wet the compost comes out in round lumps, which you must break up to use the compost. ANNOYING . also water can and does get into the composter through the joint of the device.
