It's made from a beautifully burnished and finished leather, slightly waterproof and a nice natural tanning that is colourfast so no staining on my clothes like those useless bags from China. The weight of leather chosen is correct- not artificially thick to try to convince you to buy a bulky heavy bag in the hopeit will last, but a durable, properly tanned hide that doesn't weigh more than your stuff will! The colour and apperance is exactly as per the picture (save natural variations in hide). It will no doubt wear even better. It looks great in a professional setting with a suit and with jeans too and is roomy enough for my IPAD and Dell XPS 13 without being bulky.The strap is superb- a strong, professional grade webbing of the correct proportional width with the leather stitched on, edges on all parts including are turned and stiched and reinforced at the right points and the strap is long enough to use a a cross body bag. The other Chinese versions I tried had useless, weak, skinny straps, and cheap harware. This hardware is solid brass- not that cheap and fragile bobbit metal they supply in the Chinese versions. Interor and exterior finish is outstanding- the attention to quality has really impressed me- both the choice of an elegant striped brown fabric, the quality zippers, extremely neat stiches and the two pockets inside. The stitching on this bag is laser straight and tracks the rounded corners with near zero variation- it must have been done by a craftsman with exceptional skill.If you want a beautifully designed, elegant, superbly finished and handcrafted genuinely quality product to last a few decades, buy this one. Don't waste your time with the rest like I did.I looked for months for the right bag. The colour, the fit, the finish and the quality of this one stand out. It has the hallmarks of a product made by a true craftsman and has clearly been quality checked throughly before being shipped. My motto is to always by the best quality I can, and at this price this product is an absolute bargain. Holds iPad's, small laptops like Dell XPS 13 (which I own), 8.5" by 11" docs very well. Very satisfied with this purchase. Excellent quality for a great price.
