I haven't used others in its category, so I will refrain from comparisons.Suffice it to say that the clarity of image, reproduction or colours, performance under low ambient light, ease of focus and the field of view are all top-notch. With a compact, sleek design, the product scores high. That said, there is a wee element of the weight factor. I will stop short of calling this heavy but it does feel like a sturdy piece of equipment.Go for it if you have the money and the inclination.
