**Q: Can the strainer be taken out so that this can be used as a normal wye adapter to split one line into two?**
A: It would take a special adapter because the strainer plug is different thread and seals with an O-ring

**Q: Can you buy the strainer separately? If so, is there a part number?**
A: It looks like it might be integral.  Probably cant replace.

**Q: Is this NPT thread?**
A: Yes

**Q: Is this lead free?**
A: Doesn’t specify but I would say yes it’s all stainless
