To me it looks like the seam was too close to the end of the material (or material trimmed to close after making seam), and the 800 denier nylon simply loosened and split. There was no fold-over of the "hem", as far as I can tell.Will now be looking for a close-fit better quality case, maybe one size up on purpose. And not from this manufacturer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Came with unexpected branding *by A***R on Reviewed in Australia on February 23, 2021* Well made. Snug fit for 16 inch X 4 inch bodhran. It was advertised as not having any branding, but mine came with unwanted "Viking" stitched branding on the outer pocket.
