Anet A8 Complete Auto Bed Leveling Kit Glass Compatible with Detailed Installation Instructions - Firmware Included

This kit is absolutely fantastic, but honestly, the support provided is worth 3 times the cost you're paying for the part. The parts in and of themselves are excellent quality, and much much better than the blue cube auto leveler supplied with some A8 printer kits. The positioning of this sensor, making use of the fan mount, is perfect, and very stable, which was one of my biggest concerns. The instructions provided are excellent, and walk you through the process pretty well.My personal experience was that the A8 board I had been shipped was missing it's bootloader, so the standard method of updating the firmware wouldn't work. I contacted the seller, and had a reply within minutes, and they really went the extra mile in assisting me to get what I needed in order to get the bootloader flashed so I could get the Marlin firmware going. One of the reasons I purchased this particular kit was the previous reviews citing the fantastic tech support, and man were they right. If you need a part, and these guys sell it, I would buy from them over any other vendor every single time. You will not be left hanging in the wind, left to figure it out on your own. They're with you every step of the way. Thanks guys!!

Thanks for the great customer support!I installed and used the ABL successfully for about 6 weeks, but tonight I tried to print and found the sensor light on continuously. Will not go out, but gets brighter when in proximity of object. But, since it's constantly triggered, ABL no longer works. I've used this unit a good bit, but expected it to last MUCH longer than it did for my $50 purchase. And, since the return window closed on July 25th I seem to have on other recourse. Not happy.

The title says it all. My experience with this product so thus far has been pretty good.Feedback:The provided mount assumes stock fan nozzle. It would be helpful to have one that had a bit more spacing to allow for the common mods such as semi-circle which mount on the outside of the blower and are held in by screw tension (preventing the issue of them falling out). I ended up using a file and taking an hour to file it down myself. This is not the fault of the seller, so I won't hold it against them but it was a bit of a pain. On the plus side, I can attest that the filament they used to print the mount was extremely tough, had a 0% infill, and should last a long time.For my first few prints I also had issues with sensor inconsistency. My nozzle ended up ramming into the bed a few times. In my case, the solution was as follows. Find where you want your nozzle to be leveled via the provided instructions, raise the z by 5 mm, then adjust the sensor to that level. Afterwards, add that extra 5mm to your z offset. After this was done, it worked perfectly every time and I was able to fine tune it as normal.Other notes:I'm using an Anet A8 which is being driven via a raspberry pi running Octoprint. All of my auto-bed level is done on the side of the pi and an auto bed level addon which is freely available. Through this method, I can use any cura version or slicer I choose. Additionally, as a likely unintended side effect, the provided firmware upgrade allows for better thermal monitoring (thermal runaway protection) than stock A8 firmware when combined with something that can monitor those things (such as the previously mentioned Octoprint). Not sure if the seller did this intentionally or if it was a result of the firmware base they used, but either way, good job.Final notes:Good product, if I have any issues I'll attempt to contact the seller, and then update this review, until then, I'll happily recommend it to A8 owners.

I've never bought any product anywhere that has offered the level of support that this company has delivered. This had nothing to do with the autoleveler itself, it was all secondary to the version of the machine that I was attempting to install it on...completely Amazon's fault... they had pulled a "bait and switch" on me by sending me the wrong machine. It literally took me three days of back and forth with over 30 texts and emails to get this working on my machine. These folks diagnosed the problem remotely and literally wrote new firmware that they customized for my machine over a holiday weekend, that has worked beautifully ever since!! The device itself works like a charm once you have followed the installation instructions, which are very easy to follow. I've never been so happy with a purchase nor with the quality of the device as built. Their support folks are the most pleasant individuals that I've ever dealt with and clearly make it plain that they are there to make it all work for you the customer.

I truly wish I could give the seller 15 stars! I am new to the 3D printer game and thus didn't really know how much was involved with installing an auto level. I am so grateful I purchased this kit, not only does it come with everything you could possibly need to complete the setup but it also comes with very very detailed instructions that even a noob like myself can easily follow.I ran into a problem half way through the process, turns out my printer had a problem with the board. I contacted the seller, went trough a little troubleshooting, and even though the problem was with my hardware not his kit, he mailed me a new main board, allowing me to exchange it for my broken one at no cost! I am truly amazed at the careful planned kit, the customer service, and the overall experience! I only wish I could do more than a silly review to express this.Overall, if you need an auto level don't settle for any other kit!
