The size XS fits my 6 year old daughter perfectly. She wears a child's size 8, so this stretchy sweater fits a child when it is not stretched. I just have to roll up the sleeves once or twice at the wrists but it fits perfectly across her shoulders and back, and only minimally bunches up when she puts her arms behind her back. She wore this all last winter to dance class, and it kept her warm but didn't flop around like some dance sweaters for kids sometimes do. This is a great find! The dress had lovely back and collar details that a regular sweater would have hidden.
