Review: Seed starter trays - Set of three seed trays, each tray separated into small compartments big enough for 1-3 seeds if planting herbs etc. 40 seed compartments per tray so 120 compartments in this pack of three. Managed to plant all my herb seeds in these. Compact although made of plastic so be careful when lifting a full tray. Clear plastic lids for each separate tray. These are great for any gardener who doesn’t want to spend huge sums of money to start off their seedlings. I was happy with this purchase.

**Q: how do you get the seedlings out of the cells?**
A: The seed trays are so flimsy and fragile even the slightest squeeze and they crack and break - only way to get them out without rendering the cells useless is to scoop them out with a plant label or similar. Really recommend you look elsewhere for trays that are actually usable.

**Q: to be sure. do these seed tray cells have a hole in the bottom for drainage?**
A: Yes they do, and sit in thier own tray. All fit well together.

**Q: will the Thompson and Morgan seed and plugs propagator growing trays with lids still work if stacked on top of one another or does each tray have to t**
A: Yes is the answer in theory, mainly young seeds don't need daylight to pop, just a warm consent heat, but in practice sitting on top of each other you would need to watch the weight..

**Q: Are these stable to stack up on top of one another like the picture?**
A: Presumably the ones in the picture are empty so there would be no problem. Once the trays contain damp compost I wouldn't risk the possible collapse of the covers, although I don't know why you would want to stack them once you have sown seeds.  For storage when not in use they nestle together taking up little room.

Good size individual pods for sewing seeds. Trays not at strong as some seed trays, but good value for money and have a clear lid and secondary drip tray which is a bonus.
