The first size was 5T, but they seemed too small on my very tall and very sturdy 2 year old grandson. The 2nd time I bought 5–6 years old. When they arrived, they still were labeled 5T, but they did seem larger. The first time I washed them they shrank to the size of the original set I bought. I do think these are good for potty training. My grandson loves picking out a pair and they help him recognize wetness. With the sizing issues though, I can’t buy these again as I’m stuck with 2 sets and no original packaging to return Review: They do leak, but if you want your child to have the uncomfortable feeling of having an accident without it making a huge mess, these would be helpful. My child had an accident in them and it ran down his legs some. It was enough for him not to like it but didn’t make a mess in the floor. There is a little more padding for absorbency but they can't hold a lot urine like a diaper. Training underwear is softer than diaper. A great in-between when transitioning from pullups. **Q: Are these training pants be machine washable?** A: Yes, machine washable, but hand wash is of highly recommended which prolong the life of underwear. **Q: Are they leak proof?** A: There is a good amount of absorption. But not leak proof. It does a good job for small accidents. Bigger accidents, it will eventually soak through. **Q: Is this reccomended for nighttime potty training?
