I think the charger might have been zapped by a surge, so not really an issue with this product, as far as I know! However, if you don't use the right charger with your phone - and even if you do - these batteries will over heat and their life span will be shortened! Thus, you pretty much have to use the charger that is included!The current set I have, which I have been using for at least a month now, are doing great!
