**Q: I lost my basic instruction book. Can someone please tell me how to turn flash off when taking pics? desperate**
A: hey sarah! when you turn the camera on, press the "lightning bolt" icon 1 time. you can turn flash back on by pressing it again. the camera upon turning off, will default back to flash again. hope this helps!

**Q: Is this a new version?**
A: No, it's been out a long time. Camera's are like computers, new models are released often, unless there is some specific new feature you are looking for a slightly outdated model can save you money. I use this one in place of my expensive SLR when there is risk of damage or just a quick documentation. Can do 30 second movies. Also check SONY S220. I am happy with the Canon A530.

**Q: I have one PowerShotA530. for 5 years. Now  it seems the lens sometimes does not open all the way and I get a black shadow  at an angle acrossthephot**
A: Hey Charles! The one I had prior did the same thing. I honestly think it was a small spring problem. I ended up buying another A530 here on Amazon for $45 due to my old one getting a purple screen problem. I take real estate inspection pictures & I can't live without my A530! The one I got here was like brand new & had all original material. Thank you & contact me again if needed.

**Q: Does it have reverse camera**
A: No. 
This camera is an old model. I bought it because it was the same as my old camera which I had since 2006. So, I was familiar with it, and, being technologically challenged, I didn't want to learn a new camera. But soon after purchasing last fall (2017), this camera broke down in the same way my old model camera did, which I guess shouldn't have come as a surprise since they are both the same age (2006).
