Now... I received this yesterday afternoon and didn’t expect to be leaving a review already but It’s been on in my bedroom since receiving it and I’m so shocked at how effective it is. I wouldn’t say I notice a difference in the air per se but by looking at the unit itself there is a lot of dirt that it has pulled in underneath and on the unit itself, bearing in mind I haven’t touched it apart from to turn on and off. Makes me feel as though I need something more industrial which I will invest in at some point but have a look at my pics, remember that’s after 1 day! I don’t think this filter will last me 6months unfortunately but I’m glad it’s doing something. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Too loud and bright for sleeping *by A***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 July 2019* I expected more from this going by the reviews, even though it was only cheap. It sucks in air from underneath, and blows it out at the top, with a blue ionising light. The light can be set to dim (but not off) for night time use, but it was still too light for me, particularly as we’re supposed to avoid blue light at bed time. I found the fan was too loud to sleep with. I tried for a couple of nights but each time ended up turning it off halfway through the night when it disturbed my sleep. It sounds like a large desktop PC, and to be fair, it is probably a PC fan in it. I can’t see how it would remove any dust from the air, as it is sucking from the bottom, so surely all the dust it would pick up would be from the surface it’s sitting on? You can smell slightly fresher air (from the ions?) within an arms length or two, but apart from that, i didn’t notice any difference at all.
