They are beautiful. The handles are very nice looking and appear to be very well made. The sharpness is there but you can tune them up even more if you like. If you treat these knives right you will have them for a very long time. You probably should not put these in the dishwasher. I'm sure it would have an effect on the handle over time. I must update my review. I was wrong to compare this knife to my Dalstrong Shogun series chefs knife. While the steel my be similar, it has not shown the hardness of the Dalstrong. While severing a turkey spine using no more than moderate effort, a 1/2" section of the cutting edge became "waved."
