I'm a 32 year Vet and my Dad was deep in China for much of WW2 (Navy enlisted weather guesser with FT Bragg jump wings. There was a big reason for it). We have what we call the 535 Club in our soon to be back to no stoplight town. That means some Vets show up at Jack's Place bar at 5:35 on Thursdays. A couple members had knock-off clickers. I chastised them for it and bought a couple of these for gifts. You don't buy these things for their uber technical design or fabrication. You buy them to see what it was like realizing what it meant to make anything out of metal in England during WW2. So the clickers are put to good use at the 535 Club. The Bar Keep knows exactly where to bring another round to. I'd encourage folk to keep the traditions alive, remember all our Allied heroes, and enjoy a piece of history.
