The value was good compared to the big box stores so the customer was happy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Actually bought this 6" cap for a Metalbestos/selkirk 8" stack, was half the price, and easily adapted. *by R***U on April 12, 2014* This is for Dura Vent triple wall pipe, NOT single or double wall. So, it makes it a perfect replacement for a metalbestos/Selkirk UT 8" pipe with a little sheet metal work. Just take the old cap off the 8" pipe, remove its base collar, then trim the hole on this cap to have a 8" opening and mount the cap on the 8" collar & base you saved and install with sheet metal screws. The cap is actually 1" bigger than the one on my 8" stack now, so theres not one ounce of flow loss and the Dura Vent is a higher grade of Stainless steel which will last longer. You also can adapt this to fit many options if your handy with sheet metal. Very good for the price!
