I did cut myself using it even though I’m very experienced with sharp tools. I think it’s because of how small the handle is. I definitely am happy with buying this and will be using it for shaping small and tight corners

**Q: Is one side of the blade completely flat?**
A: Yes the side not shown is completely flat except for the very tiny edge of the blade it has a slight angle from being sharpened.

**Q: Is a left hand blade available**
A: Yes. Look for Left Hand / Japanese/Kiridashi Craft Pocket Knife

**Q: What kind of steel is the blade?**
A: I'm not 100% sure of the exact steel. I do know that the steel is from Seki and is amazingly sharp upon arrival. I've used this blade for over a year, primarily for marking lines etc., have not needed to sharpen it yet.

It’s very sharp and well made. Four stars because the handle is a bit small and one needs to be careful when putting the cover on. But overall it’s a very good marking knife.
