## Description

Makita impact GOLD is new innovation in fastening with a full line of insert bits, bit holders, nutsetters, socket adapters, and more. Impact gold is designed exclusively for use with high-torque impact drivers, and is engineered with high-strength steel for longer life. The impact GOLD ultra-magnetic insert bit holder (B-35097) features Xtreme torsion technology, which allows the torsion section of the bit holder to flex under load and take pressure off of the bit tip for increased durability in high torque applications. The two-piece design is engineered to allow the torsion technology to fully activate. The rare earth neodymium magnet is two-times stronger than magnets in standard insert bit holders, so users get the added convenience of one-handed fastening. The Makita impact GOLD ultra-magnetic insert bit holder is ideal for use with impact GOLD insert bits (sold separately), and is engineered for driving screws in a wide variety of demanding applications including deck building, framing, installing plywood subfloor, and more.

Review: best bit holder of its kind I have used - I find the low star reviews that's getting sorted to the top rather unfair. This is not a replacement for drilling pilot holes, you need self tapping screws and you really should drill pilot holes in hard wood. It also won't compensate for terrible screw drive types that tend to cam out and strip like the traditional slot and cross drives, get Pozidriv or Torx or Robertson or even the new Phillips Velocity drives, anything but the old Phillips really. Finally, overdriving can be compensated with settings on your impact driver and trigger control and the bit holder prevents you for sinking the screw into wood too much anyways. I wouldn't use this for fine woodworking where I need to get it exactly flush every single time. What it does do is hold on to both your bit and the screw very securely so you can drive one-handed in either direction, so you don't have to spent extra on premium screws that have such a feature, like the Velocity screws. I had no problem removing counter sunk screws with it. I couldn't shake the screw off running my driver at full speed, so the magnet is plenty strong. It is by far the best bit holder I've tried. The price is also cheap enough that I just bought a few for the most common bits I need so I don't have to constantly swapping bits, which does get annoying as it hold onto the bits very tightly. But that is a good thing as bit tend to get pulled off typical magnetic holder on the more securely fit drive types.
Review: Best bit holder on earth! - I did some floor jobs over some months with some DeWalt sleeve bit holders. I like that style of holder because they align the screw no matter how I hold the drill/impact driver. I also like that I don't have to hold the screw. But that's enough history. I used them for these jobs and they work fine on all parts till you get to the holoflex (or cement board). Then the grit from that stuff gets in the sleeve and grinds it away. I tried silicon spray, oil, even axle grease to make it quit grinding, but once in, it'll never come out. So, now I needed a new bit holder. I looked around and found this one and the B-35106 which is basically the same without a magnetic sleeve. I bought both because the B-35106 says it holds bits, while this one holds screws. Long story shorter, I love it. It has none of the problems the DeWalt ones had and holds screws like vise grips. Unlike the descriptions say, this one holds screws AND bits, better than B-35106. The blue or green ( I still haven't decided what) magnetic sleeve comes all the way off, so you can use it on other bit holders or even longer (3" and up) bits to hold screws. Bottom line, Well worth the money and I a very good product.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will bosch drill bits fit into this bit holder? my regular bosch drill bits won't fit tightly into my makita impact driver and i need a solution**
A: Any 1/4 inch bit type will fit into these, though I am wondering why you would need to insert drill bits into these. They are typically used to screwing in stuff.

**Q: Will any type (length) of 1/4" bit fit into this?**
A: The magnetic screw holder (blue shield) is only designed to work with short bits. But the 1/4" friction holder base will hold any 1/4" bit, regardless of length.

**Q: How long is this bit holder?**
A: The Bit Holder is 3 inches

**Q: Can i use this bit holder on drywall whit out punching holes**
A: Yes, at least it worked for me.
I borrowed this bit holder from a Buddy to use while hanging sheetrock (drywall)
I just have to set the clutch on my cordless drill to achieve the result I wanted.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best bit holder on earth!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really like this new concept bit driver, with a small issue.
*by H***Y on September 15, 2020*

I will say on first use, this really does give you an extra hand. The bit will hold 3 1/2 inch deck screws without holding it with your hand...that is a win. I really like the price point and design. This will actually save you money by it positively holding the screw face flat, meaning the bit is a lot less likely to jump and strip the screw or the bit. I thought the issue I might have would be the plastic collar, but it is the fact the issue is when you need to use the bit extension without the collar, you realize that the metal face ring on the collar is magnetic only. This means that with like all other bit extension holders that put the magnet behind the bit, this is in the ring that the base of the screw touches. Do not get me wrong, its a great tool for the price and it performs flawlessly. If Makita added a magnet behind the bit as well and increased the price by a buck, it would be one of the best bit extension drivers I have seen.
