I have been doing yoga for just over a year and I have tried various mats throughout this time. Some have been awful, painful to use (jute is not for me!) and some have just been too slippy. I do hot yoga and can say that this mat is 100% non slippy. I have used it in my own home at a normal temperature and it has been excellent. I then took it to my hot vinyasa flow class, which is held in a high temp room with a heated floor, for 75 mins and my mat did not budge 1 mm, it was fantastic! And I sweat, bucketfuls! Proper, running down your back sweat, gross but awesome at the same time lol. There is a slight odor from the mat but it's insignificant in comparison to the excellent performance of the mat and it's already easing. It's lightweight and I love the colour of it. The width is perfect and it's long enough for me, I'm 5'6".
