Easy DIY Edging Repairs The edging is pre-applied with glue using a special ‘hot-melt’ formula, which is activated using a normal household iron on a medium heat. The edging is easily applied by ironing on and then trimming as required. No specialist skills are required (all DIY enthusiasts welcome). This retail standard length roll of 7.5m will cover the linear edge of a standard 8ft x 4ft (2440mm x 1220mm) MDF panel. Repair All Household Edges This edging is designed to finish or repair edges on a variety of household furniture panels, such as cabinets, shelves, kitchen units, kitchen surfaces, internal doors, tables, picture frames, drawers, pianos, toys, etc. The product is particularly useful for repairs to items similar to Ikea furniture and Ikea shelving . Please note WoodPress edging is designed for indoor use. ## Features - EASY TO USE: This Pearlised Grey melamine edge banding tape is 7.5m long, with a thickness of 0.5mm. It’s perfectly sized to cover the linear edge of a standard 2440mm x 1220mm (8’ x 4’) MDF panel. It comes with a pre-adhesive hot-melt glue backing. To use, measure your panel, cut the tape to size, and use a regular household iron at medium heat to activate the glue (warning: hot glue). Trim any excess with an edge trimmer. - DURABLE AND EASY TO MAINTAIN: This melamine edging strip is designed to last and is flexible and sturdy. To clean, just wipe with a cloth - no special cleaning solutions needed. - VERSATILE USES: This edge banding roll is ideal for a variety of projects. Use it on internal doors, shelving, kitchen units, picture frames, furniture restoration, cabinets, and other DIY projects. It gives a smooth neat finish and is compatible with plywood and chipboard (consider using wood filler on uneven chipboard edges if necessary before application). - ECO FRIENDLY: Our melamine edging tape is paper based, which uses recycled material, and is easy on the environment. It is the ecological alternative to PVC or ABS edge banding, whose materials are not easily recycled or biodegradable. - IDEAL FOR DIY: This melamine iron on edge banding is easy to use for both beginner and seasoned DIYers. You can apply it to flat and curved surfaces, and it's great for everything from small fixes to major renovations. - Wholesale, volume and custom product enquires welcomed ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Adhesive Format | IRON_ON | | Adhesive Location | BACK | | Adhesive Material | Hot-melt glue | | Adhesive Side Count | 1 | | Asin | B0FGY18VP9 | | Best Sellers Rank | 148,304 in DIY & Tools (See Top 100 in DIY & Tools) 876 in Mouldings & Trim | | Brand | WoodPress | | Colour | Pearl Grey | | Compatible Material | Wood | | Country Of Origin | Czech Republic | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (441) 4.5 out of 5 stars | | Foil Thickness | 0.5 Millimetres | | Item Dimensions L X W X Thickness | 40W x 1Th millimetres | | Item Resistance | Wear resistant | | Item Thickness | 0.5 Millimetres | | Item Weight | 140 Grams | | Manufacturer | WoodPress | | Manufacturer Part Number | E40x75MelGreyPearl | | Material | Melamine | | Model Number | E40x75MelGreyPearl | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Number Of Packs | 1 | | Other Special Features Of The Product | Eco Friendly | | Recommended Uses For Product | Finishing and restoring edges, DIY projects | | Size Name | Width: 40mm | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Images ![WoodPress® 40mm Grey Pearl Pre-Glued Melamine Edging Tape 7.5m - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61fMa81CNuL.jpg) ![WoodPress® 40mm Grey Pearl Pre-Glued Melamine Edging Tape 7.5m - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71syifCfUaL.jpg) ![WoodPress® 40mm Grey Pearl Pre-Glued Melamine Edging Tape 7.5m - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71XNMhJfZ4L.jpg) ![WoodPress® 40mm Grey Pearl Pre-Glued Melamine Edging Tape 7.5m - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41lWiQ4ZwlL.jpg) ![WoodPress® 40mm Grey Pearl Pre-Glued Melamine Edging Tape 7.5m - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71yUf6Xoa9L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size Name** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 27 August 2026* Highly delighted with the result this product gives, excellent finish and easy to do definitely would recommend, ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 September 2026* It works, keep the iron hot and keep ironing over it several times. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 October 2025* This edging tape ironed on easy and was easy to trim with a tool I purchased separately.I would recommend this edging strip. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/791469186-woodpress-40mm-grey-pearl-pre-glued-melamine-edging-tape-7](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/791469186-woodpress-40mm-grey-pearl-pre-glued-melamine-edging-tape-7) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
