Works fine and the digits are easy to see and dim as needed.I bought this particular clock for the projection to ceiling or walls, so I would be easy to see past my cpap mask. Unfortunately, the projection is nothing but a blob of blue light. I've tried it at different distances and nothing changes that blob. I even tried putting a magnifying glass in front of the lens, to see if would sharpen at all. Nothing. I would not recommend this clock if you want the projection feature.Update:Seller has gone above and beyond to make this problem right. Shipped me a brand new clock to replace the defective one. The new one works as advertised and looks cool. I put it on my list based on this Amazon listing, and many of the positive reviews. The clock itself looks really great. Fits in well with my decor, and is sleek and understated. Although, upon actually handling the clock, it feels pretty cheap. It's VERY light, and not in a good way. The "wood" is not really wood, and seems prone to chipping or breaking.My biggest issue with the clock is the projection (one of the main reasons I got it). I have 8' ceilings, so the projection is well within the suggested 5'-10' range. However, the projection is blurry, and there is no way to focus it. In addition, as another reviewer mentioned, the projection shows the numbers, and a square of light that "leaks" out around the numbers. I'm not sure what the design flaw is here, but something isn't right. It's not enough light to keep me awake or anything, but it doesn't look very good. I've had projection clocks in the past that looked great. Not sure why the projection element looks so sloppy.The alarm is nice, in that it is a gradual beep that gets faster as time goes on. Thus it's not immediately startling when you wake up. Snooze works great, and you can set the length of the snooze... a nice feature. But, figuring out how to turn off the alarm has been difficult. Oddly, the "Alarm 1 On/Off" button does not actually stop the alarm. The button to stop the alarm is labeled "Snooze Timer." Also, the buttons are very small, so it's nearly impossible to do it just by "feel" as you are half awake trying to turn off the alarm. (the snooze button is obvious and is raised with its own texture, so that's easy).Also, I don't like that you can't set the two alarms separately. When you use the "alarm set" button, it makes you scroll through both alarm 1 and 2 before you are back to just displaying the time. I have found that if you just stop pressing buttons, it will eventually return to the time. But, the default setting is to make you scroll through both alarms, even if you just want to change one of them.Overall this clock hits the mark in some ways, and totally misses the mark in others. The quality and versatility of alarm clocks has decreased as more and more people use their cell phones as an alarm. However, for many of us who don't like to have phones in the bedroom, having a versatile and high quality alarm clock is essential.
