This brand is hands down the very best! The material is light, soft and flowy without being at all sheer. The colors and patterns are true to the pictures and are rich and gorgeous. I am 5'3" and wear a small to medium pant (size 4 or 6 in misses) and these come just above my ankle bone when the smocked waist sits at my true waist. I am, for reference, very curvy: I have wide hips and a very small waist. Clothing does not generally stay put on my hips unless it is very loose. The smocked waist is probably meant to be able to sit in various places on the hips, but it always ends up at my true waist and I have given in and let it be! In cold weather, I wear non-binding fleece lined leggings underneath.
