I was becoming desperate for a non-irritating night eye cream in particular, and running low on my more expensive day cream. Well, now my search is over, because I use this under my eyes both day and night with zero irritation! That's right, no stinging, swelling, watery eyes - and I realize that is because of the soothing rose petal infusion in this cream. I sometimes use rosewater drops to refresh and cool my eyes; something about rose is good for the most sensitive skin and eyes.Aside from those laudable qualities, Golden Sundrops Eye Cream is fantastically moisturizing, firming and brightening. I've never seen anything like it in such an inexpensive cream, and you get a whole lot of cream, more than tripling the value for me as I was paying $35 apiece for two Origins eye creams (0.5oz each). This one is a generous 1.5 oz. The scent is reminiscent of the old-fashioned cold creams that my mother, aunts and grandmother used in the 1960's and before. I've been using it for about a week now and by the second day of using it I was sufficiently impressed to order their rose face cream and bio-active night cream.A little of this goes a long, LONG way. Seriously, a mere dot will moisturize the undereye area and eyelids. I do not wear eye-make-up or undereye concealer, so I cannot say how it would work as a base for that. My eyes look rested; the real test came when I only got about 4 hours sleep per night for 3 nights in a row. A 21-year-old might be able to look fresh as a daisy after such but I am 49 so it just about kills me. And I have circles and shadows as it is from natural aging! This improved my tired old hag appearance considerably. So I would recommend this for women over 40 who want superb moisture as well as firming and brightening effects. My skin develops rashes from preservatives like phenoxyethanol and other formaldehyde releasing ingredients. This cream has none of those. The cream is thick, but it has an odor I found I did not care for. The odor remained as long as it was on my skin or when the jar was open. Unfortunately, the product did none of the things the seller promised. It sat on my skin in an oily film, and I usually do not have oily skin. Try applying eye or face cosmetics on top of any oily layer. The cream did not absorb into my skin, thus it was unable to provide any rejuvenation. Later when I washed my face, my skin continued to be dry and flaky. Moreover, wherever I had placed the cream the pores became clogged. Yes, more trouble. I would not buy this product again. They feel wonderful when applied and they do work if used for a time. They skin feels much smoother and flawless and wrinkles are less noticeable. But let's face it - it won't reduce those of a 70-yesld to the looks of a 20-year old. And so far, I don't think there is any "miracle" cream on the market that can perform better. You can pay more but I'm very satisfied with this price range and the results of the products. I also love the scent as it reminds me of a rose garden. I really feel pampered when I use the eye and face cream before go to bed at night.
