Taking a quick break every so often to clean the paper with these sticks speeds up your sanding, and you end up with a higher quality end product. These bars are pretty durable as well, they don’t need to use a ton of material to clean up the paper nicely, so they last for a while. I bought two thinking I would need a ton but they worked so well I still have a healthy piece of the first one left at the end of the job. I’ve found that if you’re not using a stationary belt sander, if you fit it closer to the bottom edge of your roller, it glides back and forth much smoother than it would if you tried to press it against the center (might be common knowledge, but I don’t use a belt sander often so figured it might be useful for others!). Glad I bought this, it made the job a lot faster and I didn’t waste extra paper that still had a lot of life in it!
