Working on a VQ motor is a pain, but the install for this particular item was not too bad, instructions were very specific, with torque specs and all. The Fitment is perfect and the power gain is noticeable. The car is a very mid range car and I feel this gave some power in the lower to mid band.The hood clears, but you need to follow the directions, and possibly experiment, otherwise the engine may rattle against the strut bar a little but only under heavy load (accelerating full throttle from a dig). Not a huge deal, though. My rattling issues went away when I actually followed the specs provided. Also, I recommend using the locktite where they recommend. I didn't and those bolts did come loose. I have a 2005 G35 Coupe 5AT and it seems to rev faster and pull harder than before. Haven't noticed any mileage increase, but seems a solid mod for the price.Install was pretty straight forward, though there are a lot of bolts to take off and put back on.Make sure you have a small torque wrench, you will need it when putting it all back together. The time came when i had to replace the valve covers on my Z so i took advantage of the situation and bought the kit again. the first kit was showing it's age but after removing it it still looked structurally solid, i still have the first kit in storage, i decided to keep it for spare parts if i ever needed it. The gaskets and all the hardware all good quality, with the exception of the HEX machine bolts that bolt your throttle body to the upper plenum. Those bolts were rusted but still maintained good strength when it came time to remove them. the first time i purchased this kit i was living in Virginia so i opted for the copper plate, now i live in Florida but i still purchased the copper plate kit because i tend to move around from state to state and helps having the piece of mind knowing that i don't have to worry about adjusting the coolant line valve the other version of this kit comes with. I was very satisfied the first time i purchased this spacer kit, enough that i purchased it twice.
