The lighting surprised me with how natural and sunny it is. I was expecting a cheap yellowish fluorescent glow, but it's bright and very natural, perfect for applying makeup.The base has a nice weight to it, and the head swivels easily, but it holds firm in whatever position it's in. Not a huge range of adjustability, but it's enough for what I need.It just sits on one spot on my desk, so I can't speak to its durability in traveling. Everything seems well made, though, so I wouldn't be afraid to travel with it if the need arises.Altogether, I'm very pleased with it. I couldn't find a decent cheap mirror for like $10, but I'm very pleased with how far $30 went here. They were big bulky and cumbersome. When I found this I was intrigued. I’m a make up artist/model that travels quite a bit and needed additional light and mirrors for my clients/myself. I also needed a bigger mirror I could use close up. This mirror delivers on all my criteria. Not only that but it’s slim, light weight, and the mirror rotates all the way around. So you can get a good look at any angle. It also comes with a 10xs magnified mirror that you can place any where with suction cups.
