Its not too loud and does not make a lot of noise. The material used is very sturdy and it comes with a detachable power cord. Please make note this fan is to be used with an AC wall outlet. The power chord is sturdy and its about 3 - 4 feet in length. It also has a metal grill to prevent fingers from getting into the fan blades which can be mounted on any side of the air flow. If a fan spins too fast, it makes too much noise and will not give efficient air flow to energy consumption. If it spins too slow it will not give proper air flow for cooling. I find this fan speed to be ideal for cooling network switches inside a cabinet. ### ⭐ Not quiet at all *by W***T on Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2018* Pics in ad show two different fans, one with straight blades and one with curvy blades. I assume the curvy one is the quiet version, I was sent the straight blade version. I have this in a closet behind my air conditioner, and it's louder than the air conditioner. ### ⭐ Very defective.
