It is nice, firm but soft and just as described. I would have given it 4-1/2* if it were an option. The negatives are that it was wrapped in too much plastic - bad for the environment - and the plastic carrying case was ripped, which is OK because I won't be traveling with it. But just FYI, I should have gotten a smaller one. I was afraid of slipping off of it, which I don't think is possible. Also I'm a 5'-9" woman and thought I'd need something bigger. However, the problem comes with the length. It starts down at my waist, which means it starts slanting upward too soon and I wake up down in the middle it. Regular would have been a better fit. They help my wife's coughing from sinus drainage and my shoulder pain by allowing me to sleep on my back. I've never been able to sleep on my back for very long but this wedge pillow makes it easy. The extra length helps by supporting from our hips all the way to our heads.
