While you do get hit with quite a potent cheese smell when opening the pack, it's certainly not offensive and doesn't really linger once the pack is resealed. In terms of flavour I found it was perfectly cheesy, not super strong but did taste like a cheddar and was about as good as you can expect for a shelf stable powdered version of a typically fresh product. Of course both of these things are largely up to personal preference, but from what I've tried I can't fault this cheese.So far I've used it to make a cheese sauce for pasta and have found two generous teaspoons seem to be a good amount per 100g portion of dried pasta. I also like to add a little mustard powder, some vegetable stock powder, a teaspoon of flour to thicken, and a few pre-prepared vegetables all in the pan with just enough water to cover the pasta. Cook until the water is absorbed and you've got a very quick, easy, and tasty meal in a matter of minutes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Useful cupboard standby *by P***R on 18 April 2021* Useful for sauces or adding to soup or similar, but not especially strong tasting.However, other reviews tell me that this is especially strong smelling. I don't get this - especially compared with "real" cheese - parmesan or similar.
