Go to Home Depot & buy a small piece of 1/8" Masonite or pegboard. They will cut it for you to the size that you need, like 17.5" x 13.5". Place the board on your lap, then the cooler & laptop on the board. The board distributes the weight better & if you use pegboard, it will let maximize air flow better, keeping you cool in the process. **Q: how do you turn it on?** A: There is a USB cord attached to the machine. As soon as you plug it into the computer, the fan turns on.
