The amount of money he spends on these cattle as is quite high. If you want beef that came from a cow raised in an open field that eats grass and that has never been injected with hormones and antibiotics, you are going to pay a premium price. If you buy beef that came from a feed lot (cows packed into a feed yard) that are fed corn and pumped full of hormones and and antibiotics, you will pay less. You will pay less when different parts of multiple different cows are ground up, packed together, and sold at a large store. Luckily, we live in a country where you have a choice to spend your money however you like. If you find Verde farms beef too expensive, then don’t buy it. Go to BJs and buy feed lot beef. This is the same concept as buying a shirt for $5 at Walmart that was made in a factory in China, or paying $50 for a shirt that was made by a small buisness operating in America. If you want quality, you have to pay for it. **Q: Is beef grass finished.** A: If you carefully read the marketer’s description above, the “beef” is both grass-fed and grass-finished. This may concern some folks as to the topic of deforestation as a direct result of the higher demand of beef. However, there is no indication that this particular area was subject to these practices or if the land used was previously open land with little or no trees, especially old growth.
