    Too many gaps

2014 Silverado 1500 double cab…I have standard size factory tires and even then, the rear screws are a close fit. I figured out real quick, an “L” shaped allen wrench is your friend. Makes removing and reinstalling the rear screws a breeze.Unlike others, I’m not totally satisfied with the fit. Too many gaps. In all honesty, if I still lived somewhere where they salted the roads, I wouldn’t have these on my truck.I contacted WeatherTech and their answer was, “there are slight inconsistencies from one truck to the next”. Guess I was unfortunate enough to get one that was made on a Friday afternoon.

Wouldn't buy any other brand after how easy these were to put on!

I was able to put them on without removing the tires and I have big chubby hands. Front were super easy, the back just took patience as the clearance with the tires were trickier. If I would have found my kobalt flexible extension the back would have been no issue. The other bonus was my front mud flaps came in a separate box with a torx bit included and instructions. The rear flaps had neither, so not sure if I would have just ordered rear like I was going to if that would have been the case or not. The instructions are not really needed as one look at the truck and the mud flaps and it's obvious what you need to do. What was invaluable was the torx bit, not because I didn't already have one, but because this one had a yellow stripe on it. So every time it fell out of the socket on my ratchet, it was super easy to find on the pavement. Now the rear has a special attachment that required a hex key. I have a bunch and even had a bit to work in my ratchet for it, so not a big deal. However, when moving from the driver side rear to the passenger, it some how fell out of the socket. That's when I realized after 5 minutes of searching how I wished my bit had the yellow stripe! Overall they look great, and were easy to put on. Disappointed that mud flaps aren't standard, but now I have them and it is what it is.

was amazed at how easy it was

I have a 2015 Silverado LT Double Cab and was looking at getting some mud flaps to keep the dirt and mud off my new running boards. I did my due diligence and researched all the brands. It came down to 2, WeatherTech and Husky. I read a lot of reviews on both and decided to go with the WeatherTechs. Main reason being, they claimed that no drilling was required and you could install them without removing the tires.I purchased from Amazon and they arrived within a few days. Came home from work and grabbed my tool, (bit for screws included in box) and began installation. WOW. was amazed at how easy it was. There are 2 screws on the rear tires and 4 on the front. All you do is remove the screws, place on the guard, and replace the screws. DONE. easy peezy. The rear ones have one extra bolt to tighten (Allan wrench included in box) which was no big deal. Whole project took 20 min.My conclusion is there are 2 types of mud flaps. The kind that you need to remove the tires to install, and the kind you don't. These are the kind you don't. Very happy with my purchase and I will be happy to recommend.
