Surely, 6th might sound old and aged since the 7th gen lineup of processors has already been announced by the company itself months ago, but trust me when I say that its still a great buy for what you pay.Since its a Skylake series chip, so it uses 14nm technology, so does the kabylake series ( 7th gen ). So performance wise, there is not much of a difference. Take a look at the benchmarks below. They clearly show that there was only a mere 3 fps difference between the stock (base clocked) i7 6700k and the over clocked i7 7700k.
