Overall, I am not impressed with the unit. I have a 65 pound terrier mix so not German Shepherd size nails but not small either. The unit is slow and I find after 1.5 paws, I have to plug it back in to charge. I wouldn't buy again. Hope that helps **Q: Do you have to replace the nail grinder/filer and if so, where do you get replacement heads?** A: Used 7-8 times on Great Dane monster thick nails and now need a new grinder head. I don't see where this company sells a replacement. Will try one that looks same from different company. **Q: So it is rommended for cats?** A: My cat will hold still for this better than with a regular clipper. **Q: Does it work on very thick nails. I have a Heeler whose nail actually bend the regular nail clipper blade.** A: Actually after the first time I used it. On my Springer spaniel it lost its charge and will not hold a charge or work at all. Would not recommend this ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really Good Tool *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 April 2017* Haven't had the opportunity to use this many times but did find it to have a very quiet motor and be really easy to use. One dog didn't mind having his nails filed with the grinder straight out of the box, the other ran away. Typical! Desensitisation is essential. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot give the item 5 stars as I havent ... *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 26 April 2017* I cannot give the item 5 stars as I havent used it on my dogs claws but it seems well made and arrived very quickly ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nail trimmer pets *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 6 March 2017* Great item is as described nice feel to it sits well in the hand very easy to use well pleased ## Frequently Bought Together - Hertzko Electric Cat & Dog Nail Grinder - Rechargeable Cat Nail Grinder & Dog Nail Grinder Small Dogs & Large Dogs Trimmer, Professional Pet Grooming Kit with USB Wire - Amazon Basics Dog and Puppy Pee Pads with Leak-Proof Quick-Dry Design for Potty Training, Standard Absorbency, Regular Size, 22 x 22 Inches, Pack of 100, Blue & White - OUT!
