The pants have built in elastic on both sides. so, if you are a little larger, don't worry. The waist will accommodate you. The fabric was somewhat light weight, but not bad. Overall, I rated 5 stars. It's not a luxury fabric, but is pretty nice. And the price was about what you would pay for rental. So, I am very happy with this tux. I just had to get a shirt/bow tie combination on Amazon.
