Works as advertised! A bit pricey though.

This club REALLY forces you to hit down and compress the ball. I am not sure why people are saying that the club works even with mishits, because at the range this club makes you look BAD until you get the hang of it. I was hitting balls on the bottom, toe, and heel at first resulting in a lot of worm balls, or balls that just sort of dribbled/hopped 100-120 yards. I measured my Pro 7 Tour Striker to have 34.7 degrees loft and 63.4 degrees lie, weighing 445 grams and measuring 37.25" playable length. These specs pretty much match to my TaylorMade RocketBladez 8 iron (which is really a 7 iron) except the Tour Striker is about 26 grams heavier.I found that the only way to get a correct hit is to hit the ball on the clubface (obvious, right?) which is easier said than done for beginners/high handicap players like me. Once I got the hang of it, I was trying to hit the ball higher on the club face but was unsuccessful. It requires quite a bit of forward shaft lean. I grabbed my regular irons and went to town with the same technique and was hitting balls 20-30 yards longer with the same amount of effort. I also noticed my balls were contacting the RocketBladez club face in the center and not towards the bottom or the toe. It is also apparent when you struck the balls on the correct area, because it makes a distinct sound just like on the Tour Striker iron. The DVD that is included was funny, especially with Martin Chuck using a grape to demonstrate grip pressure - and then eating the grape afterwards. The golf course that he used for filming the video was quite interesting with a variety of grasses. Unfortunately, only part of the DVD played for me and it wasn't even recognized by my laptop DVD drive (which will read even the most scratched/damaged of DVDs).Overall: 4/5 stars, so why am I giving it only 4 stars? Make no mistake, I felt the Tour Strike worked as advertised. It forces me to focus on compressing the ball. However, this would be a great training aid at about half the price given that the materials used to manufacture the club aren't anything special. For the asking price, it is more expensive than an individual TaylorMade RocketBladez or Speedblade which has a lot more technology built-in. I understand this is a lower volume proprietary design to be used as a training aid, but it is still rather pricey in my opinion.

Best Training aid out there hands down!

I am a 12 handicap golfer and just recently during my rounds I noticed i wasnt leaving divots when i impacted the ball. I was getting the ball up in the air like normal but with less distance. A couple of scratch golfer buddies of mine told me I was flipping the club and scooping the ball off the ground. Well after many unsuccessful days on the range and a couple of lessons i still couldnt shake the problem, i was really frustrated so I decided to give the tour striker a try. Well on my very first test drive on the range I fixed my flipping problem right away! Having to get my hands so far in front of the ball prevented me from flipping the club, its literally impossible to flip the club with your hands that far forward at impact! After a bucket or so getting of used to the exaggerated "hands forward" feeling I quickly began to leave divots on my shots! Now, when i strike the ball it sounds so crisp and you can feel the ball compressing against the club... I could of used this club years ago!! By far the best training aid out there... You can see how this club can fix all your swing problems, shanks, the slice, fat and thin shots... i highly recommend this club!!!

Look - there is no miracle product! But this club hasa sweet spot the size of a dime and it helps you (if you want to work at getting better) to be in a correct position at impact. You might get frustrated -but keep at it - this club is NOT easy to hit. But if you work at it over a few practice sessions, you will get some unbelieveble contact when you go back to your regular clubs. I use it 3-4 times a week - always a love-hate relationship - but it gets results. Wish I could say that about the other 100 golf swing help stuff I have bought over the years. Enjoy.
