I'm 5'3" & slim but a 34DDD, so I often run into difficulties with the zipper on the top section, but the medium is perfectly roomy and will comfortably fit thick sweaters underneath. Best unexpected plus is the extremely soft and fuzzy pocket inserts. What a nice surprise! Hood is relatively large but in a cute way.
